Love Diagnosis

LOVE DIAGNOSIS
She said 911 what’s your emergency,
I said my heart, its skipping beats,
She said palpitations and l said maybe,

She asked if l could drink water and take a deep breath,
“Even my stomach feels like it has butterflies ”,l mummered,
She said maam, are you sure this is an emergency,

I said am trying to figure out the right disease that l have right now,
But maybe like you said, it’s not an emergency,
I am even glowing, how can that even be an emergency,
Rather l feel overwhelmed by something l cannot express,
Can that still not be an emergency,

I said maam how can one make someone feel like this,
Living rent free in someone’s mind,
But still said to be innocent until proven guilty,
She said maam, can l direct your call to the court room,

I asked if that’s where my disease is leading me too,
She said maybe, but you can embrace it if you want,
What should l embrace, l asked,
She said maam, you are in love,
Orgh yes l am in love, that defines the disease l am suffering from,
A cancer that can never lead me to the bell.
