Two Face
Met with two eyes,
Face to face — we shared a combination,
A fusion of thoughts, thinking as if almost alike,
Until they entwined.
We felt so connected,
Same problems, same likes and dislikes —
As if we made each other alive.
Eating up our thoughts,
Dreaming for more — wondering, what if it was real?
Heart to heart, wandering thoughts, they said.
Mind to mind, scrambling through places love defined.
We tempted each other,
Greedy for one another — and wait…
Is this for real?
Or are we just living in a dream?
A dream of wonderland,
Just you and me.
Hold my hand, and I hold yours,
Opening up — enjoying our desires.
Do they notice?
Do you mind as I satisfy your pleasure?
Do you trust me?
I’m trustworthy, your realist friend.
I’ll be by your side forever,
Promise...
But — he fingers crossed, hidden, dark, unnoticed.
We laughed,
We cried,
We loved.
Until he left for another,
Wanting more, greedy for new,
Still chasing pleasure.
Then —
… she feels isolated, unwanted,
Stupid, too stupid and selfish,
Left with a broken heart.
Her dreams, her soul, shattered in pieces.
Dream girl…
Again and again, she doesn’t want anyone anymore.
that ! No one’s real in this world.
Fake, fake, fake!
Only One is true — God.
And again, she remembers God
In the moments of suffering:
“Where were You when I needed You?”
But God in silence, ‘When will you ever listen child?’
She silences her thoughts —
“I wish I would’ve…”
But it’s too late.
Falling piece by piece, fading away,
Life gone for no reason.
All because of one too-dreamy girl,
Just dreaming in a dream world —
He started the betrayal, and where is she?
Two Faces caught. The illusion of Us.
