The Compass of Life
Each person is born like a traveler at sea,
Not knowing where they’re meant to be.
The world is wide, with many roads,
And we all carry unknown loads.
But no one should walk this life alone.
We all need a guide to lead us home.
A compass, not made of steel or stone,
But of love, of people, of wisdom known.
It could be a mother, gentle and kind,
Who speaks with care and calms your mind.
Or a father whose strength shows the way,
Even when he has little to say.
It could be a brother who stands by your side,
Or a sister who makes the fears inside hide.
Sometimes it’s a friend who understands,
Who lifts you up with helping hands.
And sometimes, it’s someone you truly love,
Who feels like a gift from God above.
Their voice, their touch, their silent care,
Can guide your heart from anywhere.
Wisdom too can be a compass in life,
Teaching us peace through trouble and strife.
Even mistakes and times of pain,
Can show us how to try again.
Without a compass, we might lose our way,
Chasing things that never stay.
But with a guide, we find our ground,
Even when no light is found.
So hold on tight to those who care,
To those who lead you through despair.
Life may not be easy to understand.
But a compass will help you stand.
