My Heart, Listen

Beep, beep, beep, beep
Hello?
My heart…
I want you to listen
I need you to open up your ears
Open up your ears
Stop!Giving access to people whose only mission is to hurt you
Stop having to choose between lesser of evils
Choose between greater of goods
You see, you choose those that will hurt a little less painfully
So, I want you to know, there’s nothing wrong with loving hopefully
But sometimes you have to love yourself first, fully
Before anyone else can

My heart, listen
Let go of envy, cos you are one in eight billion
Let go of insecurity, cos you are enough
Let go of expectation, cos he’s done nothing but disappoint you
My heart, listen
Pain may be inevitable but remember,
Suffering is optional
So, you chose.
