Asymptote
Life can feel like an asymptote,
A never ending line with a constant slope
Born of a line oh’ so negative,
Lets go ahead and change that narrative
Exponents may cause a bump somewhere
An integral part of the worldly affair
Up, down, coming from where?
Adding to the adventure, life sure ain’t fair
Domain and range, emerge and constrict
Adding to the conflict, nothing can restrict
Their shackles tighten, defining limits
Allowing through, if only one commits
Life can feel like an asymptote,
Now, an ever changing line with an inconsistent slope
Born of a line oh so negative
What a long way from such a bad narrative.
