Free Fall

The silence in this room has never been so loud
God knows that I've paid for my sins
Even the ones that you don't know about
I shut it out from the world,
The demons scratching underneath
Calling to me like a siren song
So desperate to be free

I'm flying, I'm falling into temporary insanity
Wind smacking me as I fall through the leaves
Fighting the demons that can't let me go
I just want you to know
That this freefall is the push I need to let go

The wounds will always heal, at least that's
what they say
But sometimes those wounds that are left behind
are the ones that cause the most pain
I just can't shake it, no matter what the change
I just feel the darkness grip me again
Pulling me in

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your "free fall" thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
