Marked

Her warm aqua eyes
Have since turned ice blue
Hope has escaped her
Grasping on to her rosy hue.

Wisdom left behind 
Self-pity shakes her hand;
Gripping strongly to self-worth
Stealing away her LAST STAND.

Searching diminished dreams
Wasted away in Failure's Fire
Her smiles among the ashes
Along with her willful desire.

Set emptiness secures her
As she enters remorsefully in
The door of her dungeon of Dark Woes
Blanketed tightly in her revealed sin.
