I Truly Believe I Love You More

You no longer light up when you see me
You no longer compliment me like I’m the prettiest thing you’ve ever laid eyes on
You no longer view me as who you once saw me as
You have slowly grown to dislike who I am as a person
You have stopped thinking before speaking and worrying what might damage us
Which is why I truly believe I love you more.
I have began realizing what I wanted
I have began righting my wrongs
I have began lighting up when I see you once again
I have began viewing you as my source of happiness, my best friend, my light, my love
Which is why I truly believe I love you more.
In the time it took to make you hate me
You made me love you ten thousand times harder
While you were realizing how bad I was
I was refusing to realize how good you were
After a year of making you hate me
I finally truly believe which my whole heart
I love you more, and soon I will love you longer.
Because when you look at me I can see it in your eyes
The spite, the hate, the agony, the animosity.
Because when you look at me the love is still there but the feeling of being in love has seemed to disappear.
But with every look at you I take, I question if I should suppress or try to preserve this love we once had.
I love the idea of forever with you, but what’s forever if you’re living in misery.
So soon I believe your love will come to a halt
The barrier will increment permanently
And you will find your peace.
Soon, I will have loved you more, and I will have loved you longer.
