Young

Do you remember the green grassy meadow?
Where our flower bouquets were filled with yellow,
Where the only feelings we had were mellow.

Do you remember that old treehouse?
Where I spilt grape juice on your blouse,
And that glass jar, where we caught a louse.

Do you remember those kites that we flew?
Up in the sky, shining so blue,
When we talked of our problems, the old, and the new.

Somedays I think back, to when we were young,
On Christmas eve, when the choir sung,
And that wreath that we hung, upon the door, when we were young.
