Insane

Dreaming of a life of no pain,
I think I am going insane.
Why does life play with my heart?
Why is my life falling apart?
I cry and cry,but long for relief,
Like a sailor on the sea.
Holding on to what hope I have left,
I strap on my kevlar vest.
I step into this battle called life,
Bearing the worlds pain and strife.
Just as I think this world will end,
The sun shines through the clouds again.
Still I have a great fear in my mind,
For all the loved ones I leave behind.
Hoping they have better days than mine,
Praying for those drunk on the worlds wine.
One day they will leave this world too,
Blind, lost and confused.
They too will dream of a life without pain,
then again they might just go insane.
