December

I miss December and the way your cheeks turned red when you smiled back at me,
The coldness of your hand blending in with the coldness of mine.
The way the hairs on your arms stood up when you were beside me,
But little did I know it wasn’t because of me.
It was just cold.
It was December.

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you.
