My Head

A heart of stone left to drown
Floats as light in dark
Waves deliver to screaming winds
Upon the sandy shore
Babes of dark, line the edge
Changed beyond belief
North winds sweep the sand away
My soul within a nimbus flies
Chasing dark to day
Oh alone, alone am I
Within this liar's den
Two hundred million and 40 thieves
Chipped away a wall of stone
This mask I made to wear
Crack it won’t, I hope to bear
The weight of world's aligned
As light broke darkness
The darkness breaks my light
Scattered pieces of my heart
Which star left to follow
In spite, the rock was torn to shreds
Left alone on haunted shores
As fog rolls in, my mind controlled
The daemons in me call
A magnet for the darkness
The silver of the moon
Marked am I with webs of sorrow
Mirrors of their maker
Scarred am I with memories
Left as time goes on
A bullet through the heart
Death as swift as life
My dawn is now my dusk
My head can only rise

Rage abounds through odyssey
As I too fall like Troy
Burning oil to stave them off
I hear the daemons call
As lively as the walking dead
I heed their whispered cry
The raven follows overhead
Quoting never more
No more am I lost or found
No more am I no one
Lost among iniquity
Sold my soul for traitors
A stab to the back, slicing legs and wrists
My blades first kiss
As black as white
Stoking fire beneath my skin
Extinguished by the floods
Trailing tattoos of morbid red
A melancholy smile
A little mandrake in my blood
To slow a human heart
The wind it whistles through my veins
Ice a cautery
Cold am I to touch
The fire within me burns
Blank my face remains
Strong against the raging tides
Angry clouds they fight
Strong against the whole damn world
Fight but never flight
For iron is in the water
Currents drawn to me
None can hold me back
My head can never rise
