Only You Can Understand

only you can understand the meaning of depression
a described by me a dark dark pit where you lie and look up trying to reach the light and yet it is so far away.
stuck in that pain pumping through your head we hear our own voice driving you to that place of darkness, hopelessness, drowning in tears, screaming at the top of your lungs, but no words come out, your extend your hand hoping someone would reach back and acknowlege you are there. no shoulder to cry on and yet no sympathy needed and telling me things will get better makes me want to slap the words out of your mouth, and no this cant be Gods plan or maybe the devil, so they say, no matter what i do the older i get the fake smiles on my face, no white picket fence, a dog, a spouse, no one to pick you up cause once again you have fallen once again you must start over once again you are let down the only outlet is slience, back down that path into the dark, I will sit look up at the light close my eyes and wait
this is all that i know
darkness and silence
my definition of depression
