Never Sincere

"How do you do it"
they whisper to me
"Oh, I don't know"
I smile and say

but

I know
I hear
I feel
Every hour,
cut,
skipped meal

Each day a reminder
they don't care to hear
so
I smile
I giggle
but it's not sincere

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God bless you.

This is a great way to introduce yourself. Brilliant first piece. Welcome to poetry soup. If you are on Facebook look up my page The Inspired Poetry Project. Thanks for reaching out. My wife runs an Eating Disorder program and this piece is so relatable.
