I WOULD, I WISH, MAYBE, MAYBE NOT

I would numb the pain if I had the chance,
I would sew back all the hurt
I would go back in time to just take away the pain,
But I can't it's too late.

I would live back the memories,
I would laugh back at the jokes
I would freeze the moment when I did not have to break down and crumble,

I wish I did, I wish I thought, I wish ...
Wishes are regrets, wishes is the guilt you feel
Maybe it would have turned out a different way
Or maybe it wouldn't so now what??

Does time stop for you?
Does it wait until your fine and healed?
Does life ever have mercy on you?
Does it feel your emotions and tears??

Do we just grow numb from the pain or,
Do we just change ourselves
Do we just fall and never get back up,
Do we ever forgive ourselves?

Maybe one day I'll understand or maybe I won't,
Maybe I'll grow out of it
Maybe I'll forget or maybe it will haunt me down,
Food for thought.
