I'D HAVE NOTHING

If I didn't have the pain I'd have nothing.
Nothing to prove that I'm still alive.
The day I finally no longer feel that pain,
Will be the day that I know that I died.

If it wasn't for the tears I'd have nothing,
To prove that all my pain was real.
I will know I have died on the day the
tears dry and the pain I can no longer feel.

If it wasn't for the scars I'd have nothing.
To be the reason for my pain and my tears.
The day the scars finally stop hurting.
I'll know death made it all disappear.

If it wasn't for death I'd have nothing,
But a life full of scars, tears and pain.
I will know I have died when my body,
shares peace with my heart and my brain.

In life I had nothing left to live for,
In death I had so much to gain.
For death bestowed on me the greatest gift
The key that unshackled hell's chains.
