LOST IN THE WILDERNESS OF LIFE
It doesn't pay to be nice when
Asking for nothing in return.
Maybe there are people who just
Don't like kindness out of
The goodness of one's heart.
Whether it's something given or
Words that are spoken.
Like many people I am not perfect,
but I do have feelings.
Being friendly or saying friendly
Things is no longer a good thing.
It would be better to stay silent and
Wonder why while moving on in life.
My late, younger sister told me once
That you should always forgive
But never forget.
