Let Me

Let me sleep in the darkness where
no feelings of angst and terror exist
To my mind I sprayed a story mist
of harmony and care
and it slept in the inner waves.

Let me enjoy the pleasure of loneliness
and feel solace in the lap of calmness
and here I could find my wings
spreading above the scorching fire

Let me hinder the ecstasy
of old folks told by
an insane man and place
it inside the devil’s pocket to
attach the known with the unknown

Let me crush the walls and sit
beside the stars
Let me speak to the world and
befriend its creations
Let me bear the sword of love
and slash the evils

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you.
