Libra Season
The sun is in libra today.
The weather is warm,
And so is the colour of your eyes.
I tell you they are pretty
And you reply with a smile.
That is all it took,
A smile, a compliment,
And the way you look up for your eyes to meet mine.
“Yours too,” you tell me,
And I know you just wanted to be nice,
But since then
My black, boring dark eyes
Became my favorite thing about me.
Falling in love with you felt like lots of things.
All at once.
it felt scary and dangerous,
But it also felt fitting and right
It made me crumble and break at times,
It was confusing and messy, and ruthless.
But in many ways,
Falling in love with you
made me love myself
A little bit more,
