The Flood

My eyes go into the skies
Like dark flame
My legs sink into the sand
Like dirt in water
The ice in the rain
Swirls and whacks my head
The flood, sprinting towards me
Its malice, chasing me to the thatch
That burns in the depth
Of the dark
