I Often

I often lay awake just before dawn, you know, when the birds are singing so sweetly
Thinking what i would be like for you to cuddle and hold me
To feel your closeness and know that its real,to hold my breath to keep you still
To look into your eyes and see the love you store in your heart fitted of a glove

I often lay awake just before dawn, you know, when the birds are singing so sweetly
Thinking what a real relationship would really mean to me
To know that I can depend on you for my cushion to soften my blows
When life means I'm falling and your standing to pull me up from below

I often lay awake just before dawn, you know, when the birds are singing so sweetly
Thinking what it would feel like to have a mate not a soul cause we can grow....together
Bound my honesty, trust, held together by communication, copulation, and love
Your brains and my inner beauty,my strength, and your determination makes us unstoppable

I often lay awake just before dawn, you know, when the birds are singing so sweetly
Praying that you will soon search for me and hear the vibrations of my heart beat
Knowing that you and I are meant to be.....
