Memories

Ones upon a life to pass
Where joy could have been imagined to last
With innocence far from rust
And body far from dust

Minds moved gradually to modify
But rather to a direction of fright
Where winter came in July
Leaders seeing with longing sight

Lion of humans claiming to fight for freedom
Scouring it's paws out of boredom
In fine linen with lyrical carved tom tom
With aim of exploiting to gain it's kingdom

A little knowledge like water
On heads of innocent souls
Like a lamp light gloating over
Till night stand still on the old

Exemption they tried to agitate
Breaking all laws till it abates
Creating powers to hate
And a ground rule never to be late

Pains still it caused
Hunger turning to a course
Stomach crying for change
Eyes can't see from range

Deaf ear they turned
To the screams of scraping
Incense they burned
All for winning

Two heroes in the tragedy of their making
Both running into the chamber turning
And all souls within them burning
While rulers fighting for last man standing
