One Good Turn

A deer came tapping away

At my door in the cool serene
chilly night I didn’t open up

For fear of lions lurking far away
In the dark.

Does that make me less human

I think so I’m feeling a little guilt in
my heart for one day I’d be in it’s shoes

One good turn deserves another
truly! truly!
