Intellect Begets Despair

As a mind of oversized ears
keenly listening for connection
struck by the looming fears,
and the consistent results
before my eyes, manifested into presentation

The overarching realization
of said bodily disproportion
worthy of being a skit
to drown in a laughing fit

Oh woe, it's spread too far
tall enough to reach a star
imbalanced enough to eventually fall

Stretched beyond repair
just myself, without a pair

Thanks for sharing this... Welcome to Poetry Soup. Meanwhile, I welcome you with God's love expressed in the Bible's John 3:16:"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Merry Christmas! God bless you.
