A Sybaritic Soldier

Black and Smoke , Black and Smoke
I opened my eyes
Rigid land , full of Red
I saw my comrades dead.
Severe injuries , without a pinch of pain
Strolled in the barren-garden of limbs and vain.
A thought of higher ups came to my mind ,
Even before the folks of mine.
I thought to myself “Even a stranger would be fine.”
But not even an entity was found on the land of land-mines.
This good-evil feel of greed,
Was not a fault of mine but of my breed.
My mind asked “Is it the end?”
While my soul said “Don't know of you but for me ‘It’ is the end.”

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
