Simple Salad

Making a salad for dinner
Thoughts in rhythm while I slice
And dice…

Take off your clothes
reveal yourself
“know” one “knows”
Little one
we are all alone

The secret builds inside lost
Anger confusion why
I’m not special enough inside
Please help me try

Mom Dad do you love me?
Why am I alone please hug me

I’ve grown now so much
I’ve learned never touch
My truth is such

Forever now is my yearning to feel
My innocence was stolen my soul can I heal
Who am I now that was cast
As clay a skin to peel on the wheel
Around around folding

Into this completed salad bowl I’m now holding
