Be Yourself

Life is to live, live it yourself
Don’t ruin the chance, being someone
Choose your path, chase your dreams
live up to them till you die

No two are same nor their choices
Never hesitate to accept yourself
Being unique is not a sin,
not at least than following the herd

Gender never matters to love someone
Color never matters to love someone
Love is love, no matter who you are
Love is love, no matter whom you love

Lesbian isn’t lousy, lesbian is lovely
Gay isn’t gruesome, gay is a glory
Bi isn’t befouling, bi is blooming
Trans isn’t tainting, trans is twinkling

Not sure of gender? No need to worry,
we all were there at some point.
Feeling asexual? No need to worry,
sex isn’t the only thing to explore.

Not willing to get tagged? No need to worry,
tags never define you as much as you
Willing to support us being straight
Allies are always heartily welcomed

Do you think that queer is rubbish?
Pray to god to get some brains
Just don’t butt into other’s lives,
mind your business, you homophobe!

Age never matters to be yourself
Religion never matters to be yourself
Life is to live, live it yourself
Don’t ruin the chance, being someone

Thoughts and culture change with time,
so do the laws of land you live
Never give up fighting for equal rights,
fight for the future, fight for yourself.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.--------
