Yellow Twinkling Bells

Sitting in a crowded room filled to the brim with unfamiliar faces
Through the chatter, there is a burst of oddly familiar laughter
The moment it is heard, my heart is disturbed - off to the races
The sound is that of yellow twinkling bells, and my soul swells
Yellow - associated with the sun and unadulterated joy
Casting radiant light into limitless darkness
Bright and shining, a force to dismantle the continuous night without ploy
A vibrant color, painted on canvas skies and blooming across spring wilderness
Twinkling Bells - associated with peace
Small bells heard at Christmas time, Weddings, and inside rattles alike
Symbolizing a wondrous occasion, a day to be overflowing with joy
Soft, elegant sounds, with accompanying calm as though on a midsummer hike
Together this ringing is one of a kind, a true rarity to find
I heard your bells once, what feels like a lifetime ago
Hearing them again is like coming home
