Thorned Thrones
(I)
Bags power, corruption lurks within,
In daylight they break your self-esteem.
Never stand for truth, nor see the light,
Wrapping lies to keep you out of sight.
(II)
With artificial spines they daydream,
Wearing crowns on thrones that bleed and scream.
Power and fame will fade away,
Their dirty deeds will face the day.
(III)
Burned to ashes, their glory torn,
While Karma sharpens her blade in scorn.
Awaiting the end of their defiance,
The fire they fed will feast in silence.
(IV)
On masks and pride that shun the light,
When echoes fade, none mourn their plight.
The whisper of justice will rise from the dust,
Truth will roar louder than rusted trust.
(V)
No crown can shield from the storm they’ve made,
The mirror of time won’t let deceit fade.
The thrones will crumble, the chains will break,
For dawn is born when the liars shake.
