Eyes

I looked and I looked,
As deep as I could,
And just when I thought,
I knew all I should,

Then, there was more...

A drop in the corner,
Had oceans to speak,
That held a whole storm,
What I thought was weak,

Oh! Today it will pour...

Twice did they blink,
And 'lashed' out the worry,
Put 'lids' on the feelings,
Had a lot to bury,

Never saw this before...

The calmness was scary,
I could not peep inside?
Was there a decision?
To fight or set aside?

Shook me to the core...

Then they 'opened up',
There was no fear,
Warm 'gaze' embraced me,
And the sky was clear

These 'Eyes' I adore!!
