Trash I Am

After all these years, I now find you disgusting
I wonder what ever made me believe you were worth trusting.
I saw the discrepancies, but never I wavered
Never a second would pass that you weren't favored.
All of this credit I've paid to you, wasted
When all of your words were copied and pasted.
So phony in all you've invested
Your loyalty spent when your boundaries were tested.
Sit there and forever deny your misgivings
Shrug off the fact that you made me hate living.
You threw me away, all my hurt disregarded
I trusted your motives when all of this started.
I wish the ache would go away, the nagging in my brain
The claw marks, the anger, the damage, and the shame.
Stuck in this life by purpose, what we have I've picked
I love you, I'll never stop, but the thought of you makes me sick.
Having only 2 reasons to remain strong, i'll continue to hold on.
Battered and bruised, I stick by your side
The trash I am, you call mine.
