No Longer Us

Single
but it’s getting old.
I’m tired of trying to heal
when all I want is to love you.

Who cares what went wrong
or what went right?
What mattered was how I felt that night.

It’s scary getting lost in my thoughts
all I see is you with him,
when just last month,
you were mine.

It’s eating me from the inside.
The thought of him holding you
doesn’t sit right,
when you belonged to me.

I feel like I could vomit out my heart.

Even though you did me wrong,
I’d come right back
act like nothing happened.
I’d do anything to stop this pain.

My chest throbs,
thorns pierce my lungs.
It’s getting harder to breathe.
Why can’t I move on?

When his lips touch yours,
do you think of me?
When he holds you at night,
do you still feel my touch?

You’re in love with someone else,
and I’m still struggling
to get someone to notice me.
