Acedemic Burnout

Tests and tests where do I start?
trying my hardest to be the best
Staying up, crying late well my mamma said "that's life it's tough"
Behind this pretty smile lay a depression that goes on for miles
Trying my hardest to keep my energy drink at my side
the only thing keeping me from being just another teenage suicide
I get it life is hard but this academic pressure pushes me too far
I wonder how I'm still holding up
cause I've had enough
Overworked, stressed, and depressed
I lay in my room at 3 am
with fresh red marks on my body
while I keep up the act of "teenage hottie"
Nobody knows my pain
as if it was all in vain
Nobody should feel the same
this monster consumes your brain
This isn't how it should turn out
Thank you, Academic burn-out
