You Decide

Yesteryear our forefathers
Declared their Independence
They fought for freedom
They built a nation
They etched out a life
They considered the greater good

Today, we demand our way
We deserve what we want
We destroy what is in our way
We expect life to bend to our will
We want what’s best for us.

Tomorrow is a new day
Which legacy do you want
Togetherness or Selfishness
You decide

Wonderful lines, Kasie. I made that decision when I took Civics in High School. I have always chosen the first stanza!
