The Gift of Death

A nearly unending road,
On which man travels,
To reach a place offering peace
A destination that welcomes all.

A few bumps along the path,
Some smooth edges,
Crossed only to achieve something unachievable.
A journey undeniable.
A path that every man travels on after birth.

It is our fate.
A destiny unquestionable.
Still people challenge it, run from it.
Knowing that at last it comes for us all.

God gave man a gift. One he himself doesn’t have.
A gift that man does not value.
Something more precious than paper or rocks
An end to all our pain
An end to a path full of mysteries and adventure

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
