I miss you

The phantom of you lingers, a ghost in the hall,
A memory's echo, answering freedom's fall.
I loved who you used to be, a sun in the sky,
before the clouds gathered, and the bright colors died.
The laughter you shared, a shard of glass now,
cutting through silence, a forgotten vow.
Your eyes, once ablaze, now hold a cold fire,
consumed by shadows, a fading desire.
The hand I once held, now clenched in a fist,
a fortress of sorrow, forever dismissed.
The warmth of your touch, a forgotten embrace,
replaced by the chill of an unyielding space.
The ghost of your smile, a cruel, mocking jest,
haunts the empty chambers, putting my soul to the test.
I loved who you used to be, a truth I can't hide,
but that person is somewhere hidden deep inside.
