The Grim

I seen it in the daylight.
I seen it in the night.
I seen it in the mirror
And it gave me such a fright.
In the shadows it travels;
Unseen by others sight.
I escaped it in a crash.
I escaped it in a fight.
But my heart began to fail
And my fear began to hype.
I ran, oh how I ran (tired);
But to my surprise (you see);
That no matter how fast I ran
It caught up to me.
My pain and fear had disappeared
And it befriended me
And walked me to our father’s home;
To rest eternity.
