Listen Feelingly

Communicate with your body
That's a two way conversation
You don't just tell your body what to do
It warns you " HEY THAT'S HOT!" for your brains consideration

Communicate with your body
That's a listening skill
See the pain in my head isn't there to punish me for the party
But to let me know that something isn't quite right and needs to be addressed

It could be telling me that I'm addicted to caffeine
And I can either bear a week of dull pain
Or reach the coffee cup to my mouth.

How can you be sure?
Same language, different sentences
So you'll need to listen and learn... feelingly

Like engaging with any counterpart in equal conversation
Because you're not the boss of your body. No, you guys are a team!
Treat your crew with the greatest respect and
They will serve you with the same.

Like
A faithful friend
A loving spouse
A co-worker you just couldn't live without
All these relationships take time, maintenance
and plenty of mistakes

But if you're listening to your body
In its own language
Responding as best you can
To feel good and fed and rested and stretched
It's an experience you'd want to believe

Good afternoon

It's the Brain here! I'm putting out a satisfaction survey to all areas of the body. Do let me know how I might make your work environment more comfortable, so that we might work more efficiently together.

Yours neurologically,
-

Listening to your body is dangerous because your body is wholly concerned with what it wants, not what is good for you. Crossing a desert, your body will constantly demand water, but if you give it water, it shouts, "Water is available! I want more! and you are lost! Your body shouts, "Food is available! I want more!" which is why your brain is at the top of your head! Aloha! Rico
