Masked

Masked

My hurt and pain hidden from sight,
Behind a mask that drops in the darkness of the night.
A fake smile on my face every day,
Keeping the tears at bay.

Everyone says, ‘look at that girl I wish to be,’
But no one sees the pain within me.
The darkness that swallow me whole,
Waiting for my destruction to unfold.

I’m tainted with so many holes,
Broken beyond souls.
I’m consumes by loneliness,
Devoid of any form of bliss.

A fire that burns me from within,
My clam face, a sin.
Oh how I wish someone would see my mask
And care enough to ask,
About my pain and fears
And stick with me throughout the years.
