Untitled

It seems as if it were yesterday,
Change happens all too fast.
One minute you're in school, the next it’s in the past.
We can mourn the time wasted,
We can cry for what we missed.
It’s counterproductive though, time marches on without us.

But we too can march on.
Or dance, or walk, or run.
Living out life to the fullest,
And we have only just begun.

Me, I think I’ll walk.
There is so much to be seen.
The world has much to give.
Places, people, and ideas.
One must stop to smell the roses.

I’ll walk on thought, and land, and hope.
Soar over worlds I’ll never know.
Gathering up the change inside,
Becoming who I am.
Using knowledge as my guide.

So many people I have learned from
Traits I have gained and lost.
Memories and ideas created.
Habits built, and phrases made,
And through it all I have my name.

What does my name mean?
And what will I make it mean?
Today I ask these questions.
Tomorrow I will ask these questions.

And forever I will answer them.
Walking through life,

As _____

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Yeah you are right, life moves so fast and there is so much change, sometimes we do not even realise it...
