Runaway Soul

Running
Hiding
Searching
But never finding
My runaway soul left out in the cold
Only it's bleeding heart leaves traces
Bloody red tears proving that it actually exists at all
Deep buried emotions locked in the minds halls
Each and every day I build and build that proverbial wall
And my mistrust keeps a handy watch out for curious feelings trying to find their way in
I run but these demons catch up
I hide but unwanted admirations find me
I search and search
Yet love remains untouched

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Don't be discouraged by lack of response. Read other poets and comment on them. Soon you will have friends. Your poem is lovely, love unreturned. Quite a popular subject. ~~
