"in My Head"

INSIDE OF MY HEAD,
THERE IS MUCH, TO MUCH, PAIN;
DROPPING THE SORROW LIKE LARGE DROPS OF RAIN.

YET ALL I CAN DO,
IS TO TRY TO MAINTAIN,
FORE SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED INSIDE OF MY BRAIN.

I'VE NOW LOST MY BROTHER,
MY FATHER, AND MORE.
DEALING WITH THIS; SUCH AN UNSTABLE CHORE.

MY BROTHER BY DEATH,
MY FATHER TO PRISON,
IT'S HARD FOR THE AVERAGE TO EVEN ENVISION.

THERE'S SOMETHING SO WRONG,
WITH THIS WORLD WHERE WE LIVE;
NOW NO ONE CAN HELP ME, THEY'VE NO MORE TO GIVE.

SO STILL I KEEP GOING,
I STRIVE TO SURVIVE;
'CAUSE STILL I AM CONSCIOUS, AND TRULY ALIVE.

AND I'LL ALWAYS KEEP GOING,
'TILL THE DAY THAT I'M DEAD;
FOR THESE ARE JUST THOUGHTS IN MY OWN TROUBLED HEAD.

SO NOW 'TILL THE NEXT TIME,
I CHAT TO YOU ALL;
I'll CONQUER MY TROUBLES, NO MATTER HOW SMALL,

             "INSIDE OF MY OWN TROUBLED HEAD"

                                                                      ~BIZZY~

This is an excellent poem. I like how the title resonates throughout the poem, and how the essence of overcoming is reinforced. Great job and welcome to Poetry Soup! ~Joseph

Keep the faith--it's what gets one through the tough times. There are bright spots all around us, sometimes there just more of a challenge to see. Welcome to Poetry Soup! I hope you enjoy your time spent here. Keep on writing! Karen
