Fought On the Page

With double edged dagger I lunge and I stab, your total and focused attention to grab,
When the means to the ending's your only reward, and the knowledge the pen's mightier than the sword,
As I look on the carnage I left in my wake, and I pray that this battle don't cause me to break,
And I pray to the Lord and I truly Implore, that this fight be my last I can't fight anymore,
So I asked for the wisdom God grants to some men, to teach me and now how war's won with the pen,
Then a wiseman came to me explained so I knew, that yes swords they win war's but much blood is spilled too,
Is it not with a sword you can take a kings crown, when the enemies rise up does not sword take them down?
The most learned of scholars from the dawn of the age, was the one who fought battle with just pen on the page,
The one with diplomacy, humility and tact, that brought the war's ending, precise and exact,
The wisest of warrior's to this day remains stood, whilst the broken and fallen who hungered for blood,
But they came with their weapons and war they did wage, but the warrior who triumphed fought battle on page.
