Don't Displease Them

Cats like luxury,
And expect you
To provide it,
And feed them,
Then they decide
Whether to allow
You to stroke them,
Hug them, even maybe
Slightly squeeze them.

But always remember,
Cats don’t have owners,
They have staff,
So whatever you do,
Don’t displease them!

What a clever poem, Clive. I really like this poem. I have considered getting a cat, but now I'm not so sure ?? Moon Harp

How very true, Clive. Nicely expressed! :) john
