July Ocean

The warm July ocean
Never fails to draw me in
As I breathe in the salty water
Waves crash against my sunburnt skin
I find my calm inside of its chaos
As ocean creatures brush past my shin
I am connected to this water
Raised beside the shore with my kin
Life has pulled me away before
Again, and again
But I know the ocean is my home
Years of saltwater memories reside deep within

Clara it is wonderful “being connected to the water”.
