Hurricane

Hurricane

By: Karianne Nicole Gabaldon

(Verse 1)

I don’t mean to hurt you when I say,
Problems that run deep they are my own.
I take the pain and suffer day by day,
I just want to be here left alone.

(Chorus)

Get your bags and start your packing,
The journey is yours and you’re lacking,
Everything that fits so tight,
But I promise it’ll be alright.
Just take the damage out of my name,
And wave goodbye, hurricane.

(Verse 2)

Tell me how it is when you get there,
Is it bright or is it nice and dark?
I kind of want to go but I’m so scared,
What if my dull brightness doesn’t spark?

(Chorus)

(Bridge)

Send the postcard when you get there,
I think the news said it’s nice weather.
Fall in love with someone else,
And remember to always be yourself.
I’ll be dancing with my sorrows in the rain,
And wave goodbye, hurricane.

(Outro)

Fall in love with someone else,
And please just always be yourself.
I’ll be dancing with my sorrows in the rain,
And wave goodbye, hurricane.
