My Better Twin

MY BETTER TWIN

On my shoulder sits a man,
If he can't save me, no one can,
Steers my days, controls my nights,
Is there to share my few delights.

Constant chatter in my ear,
Then once again he'll disappear
Invisible cloak to all but me
But look again, you just might see,

This twin of mine, my other being,
Look, quickly, now you're seeing
The man I really wanted to be
Instead I ended up, just me.
