Fingers Crossed
Did you know that I'm slicker than lotion.
And my poetry is always in motion.
That's why reading it feels like you're coasting.
Because it flows like a river that's twice as wide as the ocean.
If words was food then you can call my ass Seymour.
Writing so much that my left hand ain't nothing but sore.
Hoping that one day I can afford to have beautiful ceramic tile all over my floor.
Instead of all this ing green trailer house's indoor outdoor.
The reason I'm all in everytime that I write is because I'm full of and devotion.
Hoping that one day I can help my family get a much needed promotion.
If you can feel me raise your glass so we can do some damn toasting.
Hell all I can be is real because I don't have enough money for boasting.
Except life is too short for a guy that's as cold as a popsicle.
So I need to start writing more philosophical.
Lol..but I can't because it's ing impossible.
Being smart is just too big of an obstacle.
So the only thing I can do is keep writing, keep hoping, and make sure that my fingers stay crossable.....
