You Will Never Fade For Me

I want to rip my heart out,
And leave it at your feet
I dream of walking away from you
Because I cannot let go, why?
I want you to feel my pain
To know that my heart quivers when I remember you
I am without you, truly and utterly alone

I cannot forget you with this silence we have around us
You cannot understand the fear that drives me away from you
I am scared of what our love could be,
To us, and the many that surround us.
Where could this take us?
Will it destroy us?
Would we go far or never leave the ground at all?
Do we risk it trying to find out?

It is night time, and I am staring out of the darkness
Into the only light lit, in the apartment
I am wondering, how many people are walking around with a broken heart
Lost hearts
Forgotten hearts
Our hearts, that got away from each other
A love story that I will talk of, years later
If I am lucky, to a daughter,
As I wish her heart better luck than mine

I keep leaving you,
And you keep loving me
I push away what I love, so I cant hurt it
You hold on to what you love, so you can protect it
This love keeps cutting deep
And we keep stitching shallow

I want to meet you on the other side
I want to see how we make it out of this alive
But you wont wait for us
It is like you want to erase us
I want to be invisible for you
But I exist
I exist somewhere in between your emotions of love for me, and hate for me
I am a lost settler
Camping on the grounds of your heart
I am your lost settler
And I wonder, how long will I be lost?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
