How do you look now

How do I tell you that
I look different
without over-explaining myself?
How do I tell you that
I look different
Different from when you last saw me.
How do I tell you that
I look different
without saying how much I hate the mirror now?
My eyes, mouth, nose, brows, all the same
so are my ears and forehead.
And the mole on the tip of my nose.
all the same.
"How do you look now?"
i look different.
Grief has found a home in my eyes.
The growing distaste for life
has left a shadow in my brows.
The bitterness I feel on the inside
has taken up on my nose.
And the anger, oh the anger,
colors my ears and neck.
I look different.

But then again when I meet you,
If I meet you ever again,
I will look the same as before,
My cheek red from laughing.
